< Annie Other got off the mark over fences at the fifth attempt when she scored an emphatic victory in the Poolcourt Ltd Mares Beginners Chase at Wexford.
Pat Doyle's six-year-old (11-8), twice a winner over hurdles, was going well for Jack Doyle as she joined Moncherie in the lead two out and she soon asserted to win by eight and a half lengths from Carrig Cottage
Favourite Rising Time fell at the first fence while Moncherie, having been overtaken, was almost wiped out by a loose horse and did well to keep going for third place.< Drumlister (5-4 favourite) and Paul Townend have formed a successful partnership and the pair landed an all-the-way success in the St Patrick's Rock Handicap Chase.
Arthur Moore-s six-year-old had all bar Best Of Bocelli in big trouble before two out and saw off the last of the opposition with the minimum of fuss to score by two and a quarter lengths.
The day's other race over fences, the Jim Whitty Memorial Handicap Chase, went to Barry Geraghty on the Edward O'Grady-trained Clicksnmortar (10-1), who held favourite Bundle Of Fun by a neck in an exciting finish.
Noel Lawlor's 14-1 shot Jack The Hat swept long-time leader The Rattler Obrien aside after the second-last and cleared away to take the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle by five and a half lengths under Gareth Malone.
The Eoin Griffin-trained Realt Den Chathair (4-1) got the better of a battle with God's County after the last to take the www.wexfordraces.ie Maiden Hurdle by a length under Eddie O'Connell.
Mark Enright bided his time on Bulletproof (5-1) before pouncing to win the first division of the Maura Derrane Judges Littlewoods Ireland Ladies Day Handicap Hurdle, while Rob Jones led going to the last on Opera Music (7-1) on his way to taking division two.
