The horse has been a bit disappointing up until now, until he started jumping fences,. I was talking to Jimmy Mangan the other evening and he said to me that with this pedigree you normally see the best of these horses when they jump fences. I said ‘I hope you’re right Jimmy’ and he proved it this evening. He gave an exhibition of jumping; I couldn’t believe it. When he gave him a squeeze at the last, he went on fairly quickly. It’s great to get him going. He likes the ground and Phillip took the wider track for the slightly better ground. We’ve no plans, we’re delighted to win this.
