Letters Of Note looks a filly of some potential after cruising home in the Elusive Pimpernel Fillies Maiden at DundalkFri 30th Jan

Easy Dundalk winner set for French Guineas
Odds-on punters had one opportunity to strike at Dundalk this evening and Letters Of Note easily justified 4/6 favouritism in the Elusive Pimpernel Fillies Maiden, winning for trainer Michael O'Callaghan and jockey jockey Emmet McNamara. Fri 30th Jan
that's great and it's nice to have a bit of lucky for them lads (Pearl Bloodstock)!. Pat gave her a great ride; he said it was too slow for her and he had to go and go for it. He said the better the race the better she'll be as she has lots and lots of speed. When the other filly (Byzantium) came she battled again and toughed it out. We've always thought she was a nice filly, she's big and being by Azamour she should keep improving. She's after having a few races now and we'll make all the entries but might give her a few easy weeks.

I was hoping she'd win like that as I've thought a lot of her all year. She ran at Leopardstown on Champion Stakes day and just lacked a bit of experience. She travelled well and was last of the bridle that day but greenness beat her. She's a big filly and has filled into herself and we'll aim her at the seven furlong Guineas Trial at Leopardstown. She has plenty of pace and the French Guineas would suit her. The Teddy Bear Partnership (owners) is myself and Noel Hayes (Commercial director of Tote Ireland), and Noel came up with the name from the dam (Boo Boo Bear).
