After race at Down Royal Fri, 17th Jul, 2026 (1st)  He pays his way. I don't know how many times I was getting rid of him! Not now, that's his sixth win. He was up 8lb and Mel took 7lb off - I couldn't believe it, he was sitting still and riding like a professional there. For a 'learner driver', he was staying cool. He battled on well. He does have a Dundalk rating, so we'll work off that. On the turf, we might be climbing a bit. Peter Lawlor

Thu, 2nd Jul, 2026  I didn't think he was up but, he longer it went on, I said 'jeez, maybe'. Mel said yes, he thought he was up. He was trapped on the rails there, one in front and one alongside him and, in all fairness to the young fella, he found his way out of it. He had to solve a few problems out there and he didn't panic. He's a brother of Joey, so he would be well taught anyway. I'm delighted for Mel. He does stay (two miles) and he's down to a nice mark there. Down Royal had gone too soft for him. Peter Lawlor

After race at Dundalk Wed, 26th Nov, 2025 (1st)  He pops up once a year like Father Christmas!. I was planning to go hurdling with him all the time, but we tried him out here today. There's not too many two-mile events anyway. He got it handy there for most of the way around, he wasn't hassled that much. He relaxed away and finished off well. Peter Lawlor

After race at Fairyhouse Fri, 7th Jun, 2024 (1st)  We stepped him up to a mile-and-a-half. He went early enough with him and luckily enough it worked out. . That wasn't the plan but he was travelling so well that he just kicked on and took a chance. . We're in that 47-65 bracket and we'll see what the handicapper gives us. We'll stick to between a mile-and-a-quarter and a mile-and-a-half. . We'll come again in two or three weeks time. I wouldn't like to see him stepping out of that bracket. . We needed that one as it's a long time since the last winner, it was last year. . He's always been very consistent and runs his heart out every time. He'll always give you his best. Peter Lawlor

After race at Dundalk Fri, 10th Feb, 2023 (1st)  A great ride altogether that was! He just dropped him on the line there. He had him last in the leading pack. Even coming around the corner, he hadn't pressed the button on him. One mile one is his real trip. I have been running him over an extended one mile two and he has just been getting caught out. I decided to drop him down to a mile and see what happens. He hasn't run for over two months, he might even come on. I don't know what the handicapper is going to give him for that now. I'll look for something here in around a fortnight's time. He's after having a break and he'll be ready to go (on the turf). Any sign that he needs a rest, I let him out then. At the moment he is fresh and well. I've only the four in. I had Joupe entered in the first race today, but she is showing signs of being in season. Peter Lawlor
