The ground at Cheltenham is drying out all the time, and is officially described as good (good to soft in places) this morning.

The cross-country course meanwhile is good to soft (soft in places).

In other early morning news, Royal Boy (lame) is out of the Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle.

The action on day two of the Festival again gets underway at 1.30pm.
