Formscan By Mark Nunan - Jordan Gainford’s 5lb claim will be valuable on MERRY POPPINS and she has good claims off a handy weight. The Authorized filly had recent Listowel winner Socially Distant back in third when runner-up in a mares’ handicap over course and distance here in April and her third at Ballinrobe last month was another decent effort. Rich Belief had three of these rivals behind when chasing home the well-handicapped Good Time Jonny at Gowran earlier this month and should go well off a 2lb higher mark. Karl Thornton’s charge is a real good ground performer and will have conditions to suit. Down Royal maiden winner Aldo The Apache found the ground too soft on handicap debut last time but the run should have brought him on and he’s another with a talented claimer on board.
