Formscan By Mark Nunan - MY MATE MOZZIE looks an interesting hurdling prospect and may be able to win at the first time of asking over flights. The Born To Sea gelding cost plenty after winning a point-to-point last winter and easily won a bumper at the Festival here in April. His second to a horse now rated 91 in a Flat maiden at Ballinrobe in June was another fine performance and it will be interesting to see how his hurdling technique measures up. Classy Flat horse Barbados, scratched from an engagement at the weekend due to soft ground, gained an elusive second victory on the level with a facile success at Listowel and last year’s Irish St Leger fourth is another intriguing recruit to hurdling. Hamundarson has been placed on all four starts over hurdles and went close on his penultimate start at Thurles but is returning from seven months off and is unproven on a sound surface.
