Permission was given for JUKEBOX D’EDDY (FR) to wear a red hood to the start.

The apparent improvement in form of the winner, Jewel Eyed Judy (GB), which had never previously been placed, was considered.

The explanation given by the representative of Nigel & Willy Twiston-Davies that the mare may have appreciated the combination of the Soft, Heavy in places going and a return from a 216 day break, was noted.

Jewel Eyed Judy (GB) was routine tested.

THE EVERY RACE LIVE ON RACINGTV FILLIES' JUVENILE MAIDEN HURDLE RACE (CLASS 3) (GBB RACE) Permission was given for TRAD JAZZ to wear a red hood to the start.

Sam Twiston-Davies was interviewed and asked to explain his riding of TRAD JAZZ , which finished second beaten 1 ¾ lengths, from after the second last hurdle.

Twiston-Davies explained that after the fourth last hurdle, he reluctantly had to ask the filly for effort in order to pass a loose horse and avoid potential interference.

As a result TRAD JAZZ ran and jumped with next couple of hurdles with increased enthusiasm.

He added that after jumping the second last hurdle the filly began to tire and subsequently TRAD JAZZ landed awkwardly over the last hurdle, stating that the winner had quickened away from him with his filly having no more to give on the steep run to the line.

Twiston-Davies finalised by explaining that TRAD JAZZ in his opinion had obtained the best possible placing under the circumstances.

His explanation was noted.
