THE LES DREW HELLO MATEY I'M 80 HANDICAP STEEPLE CHASE (CLASS 5) Permission was given for Begin The Luck (IRE) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the bend after the third last fence, involving Ideallko (FR), placed second, ridden by Conor Ring and JACK’S A LEGEND, placed third, ridden by Miss Imogen Mathias.
Being a 7lb claimer, Miss Mathias was accompanied.
Ring was cautioned for careless riding as he moved right-handed when insufficiently clear of JACK’S A LEGEND, causing it to be taken slightly of its intended line.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Firefly Lane (IRE), placed fourth, was lame on its left-fore.
