The five-day Killarney July Festival draws to a close this afternoon with the €45,000 BoyleSports Daily Money Back Meeting Handicap Chase the feature on an eight-race card beginning at 1.25.

The Edward O’Grady-trained St Faz is near the head of the market in this 2m1f event, while course and distance winners Solitary Man and Gaelic Arc are also leading contenders in the ten-runner line-up.

Joseph O’Brien has already been on the mark five times at Killarney this week and Galway Plate entry Nurburgring looks sure to go off at odds-on in the Lee Strand Novice Chase (3.40).

The going is currently described as yielding to soft following 2mm of rain overnight. The forecast is dry and there is 3-5 yards of fresh ground on the hurdle track.

Racing also takes place at Down Royal this evening with a seven-race Flat card commencing at 5.10.

The ground at the northern venue is good, good to firm in places, following 6mm of rain and selective watering. There is the possibility of a further 2-3mm of rain.
