Vlhova (14/1) registered a first success at Killarney today, landing the SIS Supporting Irish Racing Handicap for trainer Kevin Coleman, jockey Rory Cleary and Atomic Racing.

The maiden daughter of Shaman had twice finished third from eight previous starts and in today’s race, made all, went clear from two furlongs out and held on well to score by 1.75 lengths from Vega’s Muse .

Afterwards Coleman commented “he gave her a great ride and she got the front and liked the big, long straight. She ran well in Cork two runs ago but Tipperary didn’t suit her the last day. Our horses were in-and-out at that time too but at this level, she is well-in.

“We’ll go for something similar next.”
