Formscan By Dan McEvoy - JOLIE JEWEL (2) remains a maiden over the larger obstacles after four starts, but two of her last three efforts have been highly encouraging. Just nabbed for second on the line last time out at Ballinrobe, she ran with huge credit, and the form of that contest has subsequently been boosted by the runner-up. James Smyth's booking and his claim are further positives. Chosen Shant may prove the biggest threat as she reverts from hurdles after finishing mid-division in a Listowel Harvest Festival handicap. Her previous Wexford chase win reads quite well, and she could be dangerous if coping with a 7lb rise. Ladies Well has had a fruitful summer, but she needs to bounce back from a below-par run last time out.
