Formscan By John O'Riordan - The Jim Bolger-trained ITA FLORENCE(9) shaped well enough on her debut at Gowran Park to suggest she can get her head in front now. Despite missing the break and showing signs of inexperience, the daughter of Sioux Nation stayed on nicely in the closing stages. Although that race was over a furlong longer, she should have learned plenty on that occasion and connections clearly feel she has the speed for this trip. Katty caught the eye on her opening two runs before improving to finish third at the Curragh last time. Fly Smartly has picked up plenty of experience which should see her get involved for the Robson De Aguiar stable.
