He deserves that as he has good form in winners' bumpers. He is a brilliant jumper at home, you wouldn't get better but when something is just letting him down a small bit on the racetrack. Today he gave away a lot of ground jumping,. He is a better ground horse so we might give him a little break now and see what way the winter is. He could go to Thurles or Leopardstown for better ground, but we'll sharpen up his jumping first. He'll go on the Flat next year. Sean (Dalton) is a Tipperary man so would get more enjoyment out of today than he would at Champions Day in Leopardstown. He likes these bigger meetings and I train his horses to give him as good an experience as possible. To be fair, with what we have, we have been getting a fair run out of them and we're going well. The Raceday Stewards reviewed where it appeared Don't Hold Back, ridden by S.W. Flanagan, momentarily ran short of room coming down the hill. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the running and riding of Our Sonny, ridden by Mr C. Mullins, and trained by Thomas Mullins. Evidence was heard from the rider and trainer concerned. Mr C. Mullins stated that his instructions were to jump off handy, follow the leaders and educate him but not to ask him him to do anything he was not capable of doing. He further added that his mount can be very keen and he nodded a few times coming down the hill and when he asked him to quicken he did not. Thomas Mullins stated that his charge has had a year off having suffered a leg injury and he can be very keen. He added that it was very important that he settled today and did things right. The Raceday Stewards also received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer who stated that Our Sonny was post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis

Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations given.

A hurdle for four and five years old only, maidens at starting that are EBF eligible and that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing (excluding Academy Hurdles and 3-y-o Junior N.H. Hurdles) other than one I.N.H. flat race or N.H. flat race value not more than #14,000 and that (A) have been purchased as a foal or yearling for #15,000 or less at a recognised N.H. Sale or as an unraced two, three or four year old for #30,000 or less at a recognised N.H. Sale OR (B) whose sire established one or more sales at a recognised N.H. Sale in the year of foaling with a median price of not more than #15,000
