I’m always giving out that in the ‘100s’ every time she ran she was getting beat by lower ones, but she’s very consistent,. She should be left off for the winter, but she was in such good form you couldn’t. When she ran here the last day, she went on the soft ground so I said we’d come back at Christmas over two-miles-three (furlongs). Darragh O’Keeffe did a great job on her, but I wanted 7lb. I said to Calum that usually she’d be sitting and finding one or two too good, so to go on and go a gallop. I was looking at halfway and I said maybe I gave him the wrong instructions, but she’s tough. Her mother won here, Backinthere, and she was my first winner. I’ve very lucky owners, the Sheehans, and they’ve been great to me. I only have two to run on the track, this one and God Help Us, and both of them have won this year. Usually she gets her break, so I don’t know. Hopefully, there is a chase in her during the summer, but she deserved that.

There was loads to like about it considering we were hoping he would do something like that in Limerick the other day (seventh on Thursday). He never seemed to raise a gallop in Limerick the other day. Bit of both (better ground and tactics), I'd say. Kieren said he hit the one well-watered patch in Limerick and he just came back underneath him and stopped jumping. We were scratching our heads, brought him home and rode him out yesterday myself, and he was bucking and squealing. Threw him out in the field this morning and he galloped around the place. We are a mile down the road, so we had to come and take our chance. Kieren said what was I thinking and I said pop him out. If something goes (on), they go, but make up his mind. We know he jumps well, so let him see his hurdles and attack them. It worked out well. It is our back garden, so it is great. It is my first winner here as a trainer, I had plenty of luck here as a rider. No plans really. I had Limerick in mind for a while, waiting for it. Thought we had him fairly right to run well and he was very disappointing. This was an extra race put on and I put him in. We'll see what the handicapper does.

I thought the ground was too heavy for him because we always felt he wanted better ground. What worked in his favour was it was a two-miles race and he really stays 2m4f, so flew home. I told Cian to ride the horse as he finds him, but you can't really give jockeys like him instructions as he won a Grade 1 race recently and is a good jockey. The horse had a problem with a leg in the past and had a layoff, but is back now.

She has been running well but during the summer, when the ground had been well watered, she just stopped - she wants top of the ground. She had been in to run at every abandoned meeting here and was then due to be left off but instead we went to Limerick on Tuesday where they watered and it rained. It turned into tacky ground but Riche Deegan (jockey) didn't murder her once she was beaten. I said to the owner that we'd bring her today and whatever happens, happens.
