Formscan - Devil's Advocate wasn't disgraced when seventh in the Champion Stakes last year and returned with a respectable second in a Listed event at Kempton earlier this month. The four-year-old should be in the mix once more, but ALMERIC could prove too strong. Andrew Balding has made a fine start to the turf season and his Study Of Man colt, a dual Listed winner as a three-year-old, looks capable of better entering a new campaign. Stable debutant King Of Cities is also worth a second look.
