He’s a likeable horse, genuine and improving away. During the winter I was using him to give the young lads a couple of rides and then Joey ended up on him in Cork and he won so I said we’d better leave him on him. He’s in the Goffs Online Sale on Monday and I’d love somebody to buy him and leave him with me. Joey is riding super, and I think that is four winners in four days for us. All the horses are running well even in defeat. I couldn’t be happier with the way things are going.

That’s lovely, to come to the Curragh and win one of these races. We’d be content to compete alone. He’s a fine wee horse and that’s his third win for me. He has strengthened up a bit and hopefully he’s not finished yet. His form is rock solid and we’re lucky to have him, let’s see how far he can go. We won’t be as hard on him as we were last year. He picked up an injury last year and was off for a while before coming back and winning at Dundalk. That’s Rory’s third winner for me. He’s a great lad and comes up and does a bit of riding at Dundalk for us.

Amiata is a horse we've always liked and he ran well first time. I then thought it was a matter of turning up and doing that the second time but he didn't. We gelded him, brought him back for the Ballyhane race and the last day we made a mistake by putting blinkers on and he did way too much. Today is more like what we have been seeing. she's a good, genuine filly who is too hard on herself on occasions and can work herself up, but is very honest. She's not great to break and the last day up the Curragh there was about 23 runners and she broke last but was only beaten two lengths. She didn't break too badly today and I'd say small fields probably suit her as well. She picked the right day to win as it was a good pot (€14,400 first prize) and we’ll definitely keep her going over the summer. She has won well there, so I'd imagine she will get a nice few pounds for that, so she might be a bit hard to place. The way she won there, we could chance getting black-type with her: that might be aiming a little high, but we might give it a go.
