Cork Horse Could Cost Us A Million - Ladbrokes

Evens and Odds, an outsider in this Saturday´s 2000 Guineas at Newmarket has attracted big money from punters in Cork backing their local hope. The interest has been so strong that Ladbrokes say they stand to lose over a million euro if Evens and Odds causes an upset and lands the big race at Newmarket this weekend and 99% of the winnings will go to the rebel county!

Owned by Cork woman, Mrs Catherine O´Flynn, Evens and Odds has already attracted ?36k in each way bets at 50/1 and the price has been cut to 33/1 as a result.

Speaking on behalf of Ladbrokes Ireland, Adele Thompson said; 'This is either a really hot tip or a swell of local support but either way the money has been flooding in for Evens and Odds. It will be a major upset if this horse can land the 2000 Guineas and Ladbrokes would be handing over a million euro to our customers in Cork!'

Last season´s champion two-year-old, Teofilo, trained in Ireland by Jim Bolger, has been ruled out of the race which has increased the chances for Evens and Odds.
