13 remain in Derby

The Aidan O`Brien-trained pair of Hawk Wing and High Chaparral head a field of 13 acceptors for Saturday`s Vodafone Derby.

The duo have been vying for Derby favouritism this spring and they are both set to run along with stablemate Louisville.

Godolphin have left in Convergent Dante Stakes winner Moon Ballad, Naheef, who they see as their main hope, and Dubai Destination, who has yet to be confirmed a definite starter in the #1.38 million Classic.

Impressive Letheby & Christopher Predominate Stakes winner Coshocton, trained by Michael Jarvis, is also amongst the declarations, along with Mark Johnston`s Bandari and Fight Your Corner, who were both supplemented for the race at a cost of #90,000 each on Saturday.

Marcus Tregoning has left in Tholjanah, while Terry Mills has Where Or When and outsider Frankies Dream in the line up.

The field is completed by Andy Turnell`s Jelani.

Officials at Epsom have this morning watered the final three furlongs of the track after a drying weekend.

The going is officially described as good.
