14 confirmed for Ascot Group One Gossamer and Half Glance head the 14 entries confirmed today for the Meon Valley Stud Fillies` Mile at Ascot.Both fillies are likely to be vying for favouritism in Saturday`s Group One contest after impressive victories on their last visits to the track.Luca Cumani`s Gossamer won the Group Three Touchdown in Malaysia Prestige Stakes at Goodwood by seven lengths from Protectorate on rain-softened ground.This full-sister to Breeders` Cup Mile winner Barathea, who was also trained by Cumani, is already a 6-1 chance for the Sagitta 1000 Guineas following her Goodwood success.Half Glance provided a timely boost for Henry Cecil when giving the Newmarket trainer his 11th victory in the May Hill Stakes at Doncaster and she is a best-priced 14-1 for the Guineas.Cecil has won the Fillies` Mile six times while Cumani has landed the prestigious contest twice.Other interesting entries are Ed Dunlop`s Nottingham winner Fraulein, Newmarket scorer Esloob from Marcus Tregoning`s in-form yard, and Sundari, who won a Sandown conditions event for Manton trainer John Gosden.
