18 left in 1,000 Guineas Six Irish fillies feature among the 18 left in the stanjamesuk.com 1000 Guineas at Newmarket on Sunday. Lush Lashes and Saoirse Abu could represent Jim Bolger, who sent out Finsceal Beo to claim the race last term. Halfway To Heaven, Kitty Matcham, Psalm and Savethisdanceforme stand their ground for Aidan O´Brien. French raider Natagora and impressive Nell Gwyn victor Infallible are two of the leading fancies . The Pascal Bary-trained Natagora won the Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket last term and will be bidding to become the first French-trained winner of the mile race since the Criquette Head-trained Hatoof triumphed in 1992. Infallible was a clear-cut winner of the Classic trial on her last outing and will be trying to emulate Lahan, who gave trainer John Gosden a 1000 Guineas victory in 2000. John Dunlop´s Fred Darling winner Muthabara is still in the mix, while other notable confirmations include the Mick Channon-trained pair of Nijoom Dubai and Nahoodh along with James Fanshawe´s Spacious. Jamie Spencer partnered Spacious to win twice last year, including her half-length success in the May Hill Stakes at Doncaster. Although Spacious is virtually guaranteed to see out the trip, Spencer believes he has most to fear from the speedy Natagora. "She seems to be doing everything right in her work," Spencer told At The Races. "It´s not going to be easy though and the French filly will be difficult to beat." Godolphin still have Laureldean Gale as their sole chance in the race.
