6th Annual Fighting Blindness Ball

On Saturday February 9th 2008, the eve of the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup, Irish horse-racing enthusiasts will gather to celebrate the sixth annual Gold Cup Ball in aid of Fighting Blindness.

This event, hosted by Des Scahill is one of the social highlights of the Irish National Hunt calendar and takes place at The Four Seasons Hotel, Dublin.

The evening commences with a champagne reception at 7pm followed by a four-course meal with wine, entertainment includes a panel of racing personalities giving their tips on the following day's racing at Leopardstown and the Cheltenham Festival 2008. This will be followed by live music until late.

Those expected to attend include a number of high profile personalities from the racing world including jockeys Ruby Walsh and Barry Geraghty, trainers Edward O'Grady and Tom Taaffe and NH Handicapper Noel O'Brien as well as former international rugby player Mick Galway.

A small number of tables are still available with all funds raised directly supporting Fighting Blindness.
