Aces On The Mend

Aces Four is reported to be making a good recovery after his crashing fall at Punchestown earlier this week.

The eight-year-old was in front when falling at the last in Tuesday´s Ellier Developments Hanover Quay Champion Novice Chase.

'The vets had a look at him and they were happy enough with him,' said trainer Ferdy Murphy.

'He has just pulled some muscles ? there´s no skeletal damage ? and he will have some physio before he goes out to grass.

'He was concussed, but he´s fine now and probably doesn´t remember much of what happened.'

Aces Four suffered bad luck when stumbling three fences from home in the Royal & SunAlliance Chase at Cheltenham, but was a winner at Aintree on his penultimate start.
