Aidan Eyes Seventh Successive Irish Classic

Moonstone, runner up in the English Oaks, bids to write another chapter in the phenomenal success story of Aidan O´Brien when she lines up in Sunday´s Darley Irish Oaks at the Curragh.

The master of Ballydoyle has already bagged three Irish Classics this season and will create history

if he lands Sunday´s Group 1 contest by becoming the first trainer to land four consecutive Irish Classics in one season.

In total there were 18 entries at today´s final forfeit stage, and as well as Moonstone, O´Brien is responsible for seven of them, including Adored and Ice Queen. Also included in the 500,000 euro contest are Katiyra, third in the English Oaks, the Andre Fabre trained Gagnoa, runner up in the French Oaks, the British trained trio of Icon Project, Rosa Grace and Silk Affair, while Dermot Weld is set to be represented by Chinese White and Mad About You.

Royal Ascot runner up Bushranger is one of six David Wachman trained entries for the Group 3 Dubai Duty Free Anglesey Stakes in which there were 17 possibles at todays entry stage. William Jarvis, whose stable is

in flying form at present, is responsible for the sole British trained contender Smokey Storm, while Aidan O´Brien has five to select from including recent course winner Westphalia. Intense Focus has done his stable proud this season and he is also likely to take his place in the line up at the weekend.
