Amateur Sansome hit with 14 day ban Amateur rider Andrew Sansome was given a maximum 14-day suspension for causing 'intentional interefence' at Huntingdon this evening. Sansome was involved in an incident at the open ditch in front of the stands in the Racecourse Video Services Hunter Chase, where his mount, Dynamic Lord, was involved in a barging match with the horse on his inside, Freedom Fighter, ridden by Andrew Martin. The stewards considered Sansome to be guilty of the severest riding offence and, in addition to the ban, disqualified the horse.Sansome protested his innocence. He said: 'I didn`t do anything wrong. I wouldn`t have put him through a wing. I`d always left him room but it looked bad on the film because he pulled his horse into me.'Stewards` secretary, Geoff Forster, said: 'This is the severest category we have, above reckless, and I think you can judge the nature of the offence by the category it`s in and the fact that 14 days is the most we can impose on the racecourse.'Sansome will be notified of the dates of ban by the Jockey Club.
