Amateurs Get a Day at Bellewstown The Stewards received a report from Turf Club Starter, Mr Joe Banahan, that all the riders in race five had disobeyed his instructions at the start. The riders concerned were, Mr R Fagan, Mr P M Mullins, Miss N Carberry, Mr M M O´Connor, Mr D P Dunne, Mr A T Duff, Mr B O´Neill, Mr P Magee, Mr E J O´Connell & Mr E Mullins. Mr Banahan stated that his instructions had been disobeyed by all the riders who had pre-empted a false start. Evidence was heard from the starter and riders concerned. Having viewed the video of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards found the riders had disobeyed the Starter & suspended them for 1 raceday respectively.
