Arcs In Japan Les Arcs has arrived safely in Japan in preparation for his attempt on the last two legs of the Global Sprint Challenge.The Golden Jubilee Stakes and July Cup hero flew out on Wednesday afternoon and arrived in the Far East yesterday.'Everything's fine, no problems. He arrived at about 10.30am our time,' said trainer Tim Pitt.'It's early days, but my staff are happy with him. He drank plenty and ate well on the plane.'He took it all in his stride and at this moment in time they are very happy with him.'Once Les Arcs has recovered from the journey, the build-up to the Sprinters Stakes at Nakayama on Sunday week will begin.'He'll have a couple of easy days. They've got very good training facilities over there. He'll then be cantering away and all being well he'll have a couple of spins next week,' added the Bawtry-based handler, who will fly over to Japan early next week to finalise preparations.The final leg in the series is the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Sprint at Sha Tin on December 10.(C) PA Sport
