Arcs Set For York Bow

Les Arcs is on course to make his seasonal reappearance in the Group Two Duke of York Hearthstead Homes Stakes on May 16.

Tim Pitt´s charge progressed from racing on the all-weather last winter to landing both the Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot and Newmarket´s July Cup.

Pitt envisages taking a similar route with the seven-year-old this summer as he bids for further Group One glory.

'He´s in good form and he had a blow-out this morning,' said the trainer.

'We´ll probably start him off in the Duke Of York at the Dante meeting next week, even though he will have to carry a Group One penalty.

'He´s in good order so we´ll go to York and see where we go from there.

'His three main obvious targets are the Golden Jubilee, the July Cup and the Haydock Sprint Cup over six furlongs,' Pitt told At The Races.
