Authorized Pleases In Gallops Spin

Vodafone Derby hero Authorized teamed up with Frankie Dettori on Friday morning as he enjoyed his last serious piece of work ahead of Sandown´s Coral-Eclipse Stakes.

Trainer Peter Chapple-Hyam has been delighted with his charge since he slammed his rivals at Epsom and declared himself more than satisfied with Authorized´s latest spin.

He is now likely to have one more piece of light work before the July 7 showpiece, in which Aidan O´Brien´s George Washington is also expected to take his chance.

Chapple-Hyam said: 'He worked over seven and a half furlongs and everything went to plan.

'I couldn´t have been happier with his gallop and Frankie was delighted too. He seems to have progressed well from the Derby.

'That was his major piece of work before Sandown. I had to get one serious piece into him,' he told www.peterchapplehyam.com.

'He will now just have one more little blow as well as his routine exercise ahead of the Eclipse.'

Authorized is the 8-11 favourite with sponsors Coral for the Eclipse.
