Ballydoyle duo in Chester Vase

Aidan O´Brien will launch a two-pronged assault on the Bank of America Chester Vase with Vivaldi and Wassily Kandinsky.

Thursday´s Group Three feature on the Roodee has attracted a competitive field of eight, with the two Ballydoyle representatives out to keep the ball rolling after O´Brien saddled Henrythenavigator to win Saturday´s 2000 Guineas.

Vivaldi has not been seen since winning his maiden at Gowran in July, while Wassily Kandinsky is still searching for his first success after four starts.

Sir Michael Stoute, successful with Papal Bull in 2006, will be represented by Doctor Fremantle, while the Barry Hills team run Feared In Flight.

All The Aces and the John Gosden-trained Pampas Cat, an impressive winner on his debut this season, will also line up in the extended 12-furlong highlight.

Clive Brittain´s Yahrab and the Andrew Balding-trained Donegal complete the field.
