Bangor meeting abandoned

Officials at Bangor have been forced to abandon Friday`s National Hunt meeting after an inspection this morning.

Clerk of the course Michael Webster explained: 'We`ve had to abandon as the course is flooded.

'We`ve got a large section between two fences that is several feet under water and, if anything, the puddle has grown overnight.

'We`re forecast a dry day today but rain and gales tomorrow.'
