Bearer on course for Approach rematch Tartan Bearer is on course to clash again with his Vodafone Derby conqueror New Approach in the Dubai Duty Free-sponsored Irish equivalent later this month. The Sir Michael Stoute-trained colt was only beaten half a length by Jim Bolger´s Epsom hero and is set to try his luck again at the Curragh on June 29th. Peter Reynolds, representing owners Ballymacoll Stud, said: "He has come out of Epsom grand and will head on to the Irish Derby next." Tartan Bearer, who also won the Dante at York last month, is 3-1 with Paddy Power to reverse the form with even-money favourite New Approach.
