Beatrix To Take It Easy

Miss Beatrix is to have a break before returning for an autumn campaign after finishing unplaced in the Stan James 1000 Guineas.

The winner of last year´s Moyglare Stud Stakes and Goffs Million was well-beaten behind Finsceal Beo at Newmarket on her first venture outside her native Ireland.

'She´s going to have a rest. She came out of Newmarket not so good,' said trainer Kevin Prendergast.

'She just didn´t travel very well and it was the first time she had been away from home. Maybe that was it.

'Things didn´t go right for her. She got into a bit of trouble early on and it just didn´t work out for her.

'She´ll have a bit of a break and we´ll bring her back for an autumn campaign. She came good towards the end of last season anyway.

'We have no definite plans at this stage. We´ll give her a break and then we´ll make up our minds where we go.'
