Better expected from Charlie in Jubilee

A much-improved run is expected from Myboycharlie when he returns to action in the Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot on Saturday week.

The conqueror of 1000 Guineas heroine Natagora in the Prix Morny at Deauville last August, he was badly in need of the outing when only fifth to Astronomer Royal at the Curragh last month.

That was Myboycharlie´s first start since he finished third to Derby winner New Approach in the National Stakes in September.

"He´s fine and he´ll probably run in the Golden Jubilee. It´s all going according to plan", said Cashel trainer Tommy Stack´s son and assistant, Fozzy.

"He looks a lot lighter now than he did going to the Curragh. He needed the race for a lot of reasons. All being well he seems in good form and we´re happy with him."

Myboycharlie is available at 33-1 for the Group One six-furlong showpiece.

The Stack team went close in last year´s Queen Mary Stakes with The Loan Express and could be double-handed in the Group Two contest for juvenile fillies on Wednesday with Sugar Free and Nubar Lady.

"They also hold entries in the Windsor Castle but we´re more likely to run the two of them in the Queen Mary," Stack went on.

Sugar Free was third on her debut at the Curragh last month while Nubar Lady has won one of her four starts.

A decision on whether Ryehill Dreamer takes up his entry in Tuesday´s Coventry Stakes is possible tomorrow.

"He won well at Gowran and we may decide on Friday morning," Stack added.

"Realistically he´s more of a seven-furlong horse. He´ll either go for the Coventry, the Railway Stakes at the Curragh or a seven-furlong Listed race (the Golden Fleece) at Leopardstown."
