Beyond The Pale set for Fairyhouse

Noel Chance is expecting a big run from Beyond The Pale in the valuable Goffs Land Rover Bumper at Fairyhouse on Tuesday.

The four-year-old was a highly-promising fourth of 23 behind Mel Blue on his debut at Newbury four weeks ago and has pleased his trainer since then.

'He`s a definite runner at this stage. He`s come on nicely since that first run,' said the Upper Lambourn handler today.

'He`s just a four-year-old but he`s a nice horse and it would be nice to win that race.

'He`s in good shape and I`m very happy with him. He`ll run a big race,' added Chance, who saddled Ready To Rumble to finish third in the two-mile contest two years ago.

Chance believes that the Be My Native gelding could develop into a smart hurdler.

'I think his future lies over hurdles rather than fences - he looks like a hurdler,' commented the trainer.

Amateur rider David Crosse, who partnered Beyond The Pale at Newbury, will again be in the saddle at Fairyhouse.
