Blossom Camp Bullish Connections of Silk Blossom expect the daughter of Barathea to run a big race in the Jaguar Cars Lowther Stakes at York tomorrow.Barry Hills' filly got to within a length and a half of Sander Camillo in the Albany Stakes before finishing sixth behind the same rival in the Cherry Hinton.Charlie Hills, assistant and son of the Lambourn handler, reported that the two-year-old was unsuited by the good to firm ground at Newmarket last time out.However, Hills jnr believes the easier conditions on the Knavesmire will work to Silk Blossom's strengths in the valuable six-furlong contest.'She'll love the ground as it was too firm at Newmarket,' he said.'She's by Barathea so needs cut in the ground ? I'd have to say she'd have a great chance.'Silk Blossom, ridden by Michael Hills, is one of seven runners in the Lowther, which last year went to Mick Channon's Flashy Wings.Princess Margaret Stakes winner Scarlet Runner, trained by John Dunlop and partnered by Kerrin McEvoy, and Molecomb Stakes fourth Siren's Gift also take their chance.The Brian Meehan-trained Miss Jenny, Darrfonah and Miss Ippolita complete the line-up.(C) PA Sport
