Bolger to run two horses in Irish 2000 Guineas Jim Bolger New Approach is to be joined by his unraced stablemate Luminaire in the Boylesports Irish 2,000 Guineas on Saturday, with the trainer insisting the debutante will not be acting as a pacemaker. New Approach was narrowly beaten by Henrythenavigator in the Newmarket 2000 Guineas and the pair are set to renew rivalry in the first Irish Classic of the season with the pair among 13 acceptors for Saturday´s race; Aidan O´Brien has left in five, while Saeed Bin Suroor has two entries in Fast Company and Ibn Khaldun. New Approach, owned by Princess Haya of Jordan, has been installed 5-4 favourite by the sponsors to turn the tables on his Newmarket conqueror, but Bolger also hopes for a strong showing from Luminaire, a son of Green Desert who is set to run in the colours of the trainer´s wife, Jacqueline. ?I´d be hoping he´ll finish in the first four, as this horse is running on his own rights," said Bolger, who will be bidding for his first win in this race. Confirming that New Approach was in good shape, he added: ?If he´s as well as I am, he´ll run, and the ground will not matter. The going is not a concern."
