Boscobel Blow For Frankie Frankie Dettori is unable to ride the Sheikh Mohammed-owned Boscobel in Sunday´s Budweiser Irish Derby. The Italian jockey could have deferred a two-day whip ban he received at Sandown on June 15 if his team applied to the Horseracing Regulatory Authority by 5pm on Monday.Dettori´s agent Ray Cochrane told the Racing Post: 'Frankie could have ridden in both the Irish Derby and the Pretty Polly (on Saturday), but unfortunately we have missed the deadline.'It is a real sickener.'Boscobel, trained by Mark Johnston, was supplemented for the Curragh showpiece following his all-the-way win in the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot last Friday.(C) PA Sport
