Boss Doyle triumphs at Wetherby Boss Doyle took his career earnings to over Stg#160,000 by repeating last season`s win in the Grade Two John Smith`s Hurdle at Wetherby today. The nine-year-old led from halfway in the three-mile event and stayed on well when challenged in the straight to land the 12th win of his career by seven lengths from Spendid.'He has been a great servant and there is still a bit of life left in him,' said winning trainer Mouse Morris.'He`ll stay hurdling as unfortunately he finds fences just too big for him otherwise he would have been a great chaser.'He could go to Cheltenham in two weeks` time but that may come a little bit soon so we may wait for a race at the Hennessy meeting at Newbury.'But Morris does not envisage many more trips to Britain this winter. 'We don`t have to come over too often as the prize-money is so good at home,' he said.'The only reason we come with this one is there aren`t the three-milers in Ireland to warrant conditions races at the trip.'
