Brae On Compliance Agenda

In Compliance has the Maclochlainn Road Markings Kinloch Brae Chase as his next probable target after pleasing connections with a comeback fourth behind Mansony at Leopardstown.

Michael O'Brien's eight-year-old leapt to prominence when outpointing War Of Attrition in the John Durkan Memorial last season.

However, In Compliance was making only his second start since when finishing six lengths in arrears over an inadequate trip in the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase last time.

'He's happy enough after his run and he seems fine. I was pleased with that as it was only his second run in 13 months,' reasoned O'Brien.

'He'd only jumped six fences in around eight months too and had only three bits of work before that run.

'He'd been off home for two weeks too, so we couldn't have expected any more than what he did.

'He'd want the ground very soft at that trip and he'll more than likely go to Thurles (Kinloch Brae on January 17) next so we'll see how he gets on there.'
