Break Heads 30 Declared For Irish National

Cane Break heads a list thirty horses that have made the cut for the Powers Whiskey Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse this Easter Monday. Tom Taaffe's charge, who won the William Hill Troytown and the Paddy Power Handicap Chase will carry top-weight of 12st, and will be bidding to become the first top weighted horse to win the event since Flashing Steel in 1995.

William Hills' 8-1 favourite for the race Distant Thunder is one of five British challengers for the race. The British challenge also includes festival winners Butlers Cabin and Cloudy Lane, who will both be trying to take home the added bonus of a ?100,000 on offer for any of the UK-trained Cheltenham Festival Chase winners that goes onto win the Powers Whiskey Irish Grand National.
