Browne McMonagle completes 124/1 treble on Queen Of Mougins Dylan Browne McMonagle completed a 124/1 treble at the Curragh as Queen Of Mougins made a successful start for new connections in the Kwiff: Supercharge Your Horse Racing Betting Handicap. The Adrian Murray-trained 17/2 shot quickened up nicely to lead a furlong out and the topweight kept on well to beat Heavenly Power by two lengths with Jon Riggens a further length and a quarter away in third. The daughter of Ten Sovereigns was sold out of Ralph Beckett’s yard for 250,000 guineas last December and now runs in the colours of Anne O’Callaghan. Murray said, “We weren’t expecting big things and if she was in the first three or four we would have been very happy. She surprised us a bit but looking at that six is her trip. “She’ll probably go for a stakes race now over six.” Browne McMonagle said, “I was going to ride her to come home strong after having a break, but I jumped good and was always very comfortable. “Once I’ve picked her up she’s quickened up good and hit the line well. She’s not short of pace and that’s probably her trip going forward.” The Donegal rider was successful earlier aboard Mushaffar (5/1) and the Murray-trained Ipanema Queen (6/5 favourite).
