Buddha out of Kentucky Derby Buddha, the co-second favourite in early betting for the Kentucky Derby, was withdrawn from the race today after coming up lame.The withdrawal leaves Pat Day, Churchill Downs` most victorious jockey, without a mount for the first leg of racing`s Triple Crown. Day won the 1992 Derby aboard Lil E. Tee.Buddha`s exit reduces the field for Saturday`s race to 19 runners. He and Medaglia d`Oro were priced at 5-1 in early betting, second only to favourite Harlan`s Holiday at 9-2.
