Carberry Sweet On Wake

Paul Carberry believes Naas winner Sweet Wake is the one they all have to beat in the Anglo Irish Bank Supreme Novices´ Hurdle at Cheltenham.

Noel Meade´s five-year-old advanced his Festival claims with a facile three-and-a-half-length success in a two-mile event at the Irish track on Saturday and jockey Carberry was most impressed.

He told At The Races: 'He felt very good, it was very impressive and he showed a lot of speed.

'They didn´t go that quick but it was only a bit of work for him - they turned in and he flew away from them.

'I think he´s going to take a lot of beating (at Cheltenham). The only thing I don´t like about it is he´s favourite already and that usually puts the mockers on them!

'He´s a very good horse though - he´s the class horse in the race.'

Sweet Wake, who was having just his second start over obstacles, is as low as 4-1 with William Hill for his Cheltenham target.
