Cecil Keen On Champion With Sidelined Multi

Multidimensional is on the mend and could be back in action later in the year, with a view to a crack at the Champion Stakes at Newmarket in October.

The Henry Cecil-trained four-year-old, a Group Two winner at Deauville last season, suffered a pelvic injury towards the end of last month when being prepared for the new season.

Cecil told his website www.henrycecil.com: 'Multidimensional is now sound after his stress pelvic fracture and is having short 10-minute lead-outs in the yard.

'He has a long convalescing programme ahead of him but at least is on the mend.

'It would be nice if we could get him back for a race in September and then consider the Champion Stakes.'
