Chance looking forward to Trouble

Noel Chance is looking forward to seeing 2000 Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Looks Like Trouble go through his paces at Huntingdon tomorrow.

His nine-year-old, unraced through injury since winning at Down Royal 14 months ago, will have a thorough test in a two-mile workout with a stable-companion after racing.

'This will be real work - he`s had a few at home but this will be the first on the racecourse,' the trainer said today.

Looks Like Trouble had his first outing back on a racecourse when he worked at Huntingdon in mid-November.

'The last time he went he didn`t go that quick, he just worked the last mile,' Chance explained. 'He`ll work the last mile again tomorrow but he`ll be going a bit quicker in between, the first mile will be a bit quicker.

'I`m looking forward to it. The whole difference with this horse is that he`s coming back after winning a SunAlliance, a Gold Cup and a James Nicholson.

'He didn`t break down on the eve of it. We`ve had the good days from him and if he comes back again great, if he doesn`t then it was worth a try - we`re not going to cry in our beer. He owes us absolutely nothing.

'Saturday morning will be the test of how it went, not the gallop. Cold legs is what we`re looking for. He was perfect last time.'

Chance added that he hoped Seamus Durack would take the ride although he was not '100 per cent certain'.

Looks Like Trouble is a best-priced 12-1 with Ladbrokes for the Gold Cup.
