Chapple-Hyam Mulls Strong Haydock Raid Peter Chapple-Hyam could have as many as three runners in the Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock on September 8.The St Gatien handler has Dutch Art and impressive Betfair Cup winner Tariq on the shortlist for Merseyside contest, but the victory of Al Qasi at the Curragh on Sunday means a third challenger is well within the realms of possibility.'I was delighted for Al Qasi and his owner Ziad Galadari. He could have sold him at the end of his three-year-old campaign but kept the faith and has been repaid,' said Chapple-Hyam.July Cup winner Sakhee's Secret currently heads the market with the sponsors at 9-4, with Dutch Art currently the shortest-priced of the Chapple-Hyam trio at 7-1.'It could end up that I have three running at Haydock,' he confirmed.'That isn't ideal but that is what you have to do sometimes. Dutch Art, Tariq and Al Qasi are three similar horses,' he told www.peterchapplehyam.com.'Al Qasi is a horse who is better with cut and we may go for the Sprint Cup or look at Europe for options.'With Al Qasi, we may also consider the Prix de la Foret (Longchamp, October 6). The way he ran in Ireland makes me think that he will get seven furlongs.'Chapple-Hyam also outlined plans for Cape Amber, an impressive winner on her debut at Newmarket on Saturday.'I was pleased for the filly and her owners (Bob and Sue Thomas of Five Horses Ltd), who bred her,' said Chapple-Hyam.'The ground was a bit firm but she still went on it nicely enough. She wants a mile now and she'll get a trip next year.'As for her next likely engagement, we'll look towards the Group 2 May Hill at Doncaster on September 13.'(C) PA Sport
