Cheveley Park Pair Eye Ascot Glory Cheveley Park Stud are hopeful they can hit the target with one of their two runners in the Windsor Forest Stakes at Royal Ascot tomorrow. They are represented by the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Echelon, who was runner-up in this race 12 months ago and last year´s Coronation Stakes heroine Nannina. The two fillies clashed in the Princess Elizabeth Stakes at Epsom on Derby day with Echelon taking the Group Three prize, ahead of the John Gosden-trained filly, who was two lengths away in third.Connections would now like the rain to stay away, especially for Nannina, who is much more effective on a fast surface.'The forecast is not great. It looks like there could be some rain on Wednesday, but she´s in good form,' said the stud´s managing director Chris Richardson.'She ran very well at Epsom. We got the buzz and the fizz out of her.'I probably think the trip may be a little short as I think she´s better over 10 furlongs, but there wasn´t really a suitable option. We hope it stays relatively dry for her ? she´s in good form.'Echelon will be better suited by the trip and she came out of the Epsom race so well. They are both progressive fillies.'(C) PA Sport
