Clonmel Abandoned

This afternoon's meeting at Clonmel has been abandoned due to prevailing ground conditions.

A number of horses had fallen on the downhill run approaching the straight which led to senior jockeys Barry Geraghty, Conor O'Dwyer and David Casey meeting with stewards after the third race to complain about the state of track.

Clonmel officials, who also abandoned their meeting on December 8 because of poor ground, were therefore left with no choice other than to call off the rest of the meeting with three races remaining.
