Cole Has Grounds For Concern Vodafone Derby hopeful Strategic Prince pleased Paul Cole in a spin on the Whatcombe gallops on Saturday morning, but the handler is worried about the prospect of soft ground for his colt. The three-year-old finished eighth in the 2000 Guineas, a race which is beginning to look like a hot renewal. But Cole is worried that officials have already chosen to water the track at Epsom, despite the prospect of rain later in the week.'Everything went well for Strategic Prince. He galloped out strongly and we are all set. My worry is that they have watered and there is a dreadful weather forecast next week,' Cole told the Racing Post.'When they water ahead of a big race and then it rains, it can cause all sorts of problems and produces false ground. We don´t want that for our colt, who is happier when it´s riding fast.'Strategic Prince is as low as 10-1 with totesport and VC Bet for the Epsom Classic next weekend.(C) PA Sport
